    Additional Service Areas

    • Business Law. We can provide your company with ongoing, day-to-day counsel in a variety of matters or help you navigate specific transactions or litigation issues on a case-by-case basis. I can assist your company with entity formation, corporate governance, recordkeeping, contracting, acquisitions, mergers, dissolutions, commercial real estate, and commercial civil litigation.
    • Estate Planning and Business Succession. Estate planning is the process of making sure your personal assets are handled according to your wishes after you pass on or become incapacitated. It involves reducing your estate’s exposure to taxes and other forms of liability while also avoiding probate as much as possible. In some cases, estate and succession planning may overlap, particularly when family businesses are involved. For example, the way a family business is passed on depends on the needs and desires of your family and the business. Dividing up ownership among heirs, the types of stock distributed (if you plan to sell stock in the business at all), the time frame for doing so, and so forth all have implications for both your business and your personal estate.
    • Probate. When a person passes away, their estate must be settled and closed with the appropriate probate court. A personal representative named in a will or appointed by the court will be in charge of facilitating this process, which involves notifying heirs and creditors, inventorying and appraising property, settling debts and liabilities, filing taxes, and distributing assets in accordance with the deceased’s estate plan or Florida’s intestacy laws. Probate can be a costly and contentious process, and personal representatives without legal experience are sometimes overwhelmed by the responsibilities involved. I can assist you with all matters of estate administration and can help you resolve numerous types of probate-related conflicts, including will contests.
    • Landlord Tenant Issues. Whether you own a property or rent one, we can assist you in a variety of landlord/tenant and real property matters including, but not limited to, the following: ejectments, evictions, lease preparation and review, security deposits, unlawful detainers, three-day notice, disturbance, etc. In issues representing landlords, our firm represents landlords only.
    • Civil Appeals. Receiving an unfavorable verdict in a civil trial can be dispiriting, but you may still have legal options. I am extremely familiar with Florida appellate law and can advise whether your case is eligible for appeal. I can also augment the efforts of an existing litigation team handling your case.
    • Real Estate Litigation. We handle a wide spectrum of cases in Real Estate law, including commercial and residential real estate. The areas our practice handles includes but is not limited to:  Evictions (Residential and Commercial); Partition Actions; Ejectments, and Quiet Title Actions.

Call (786) 442-2984 or contact me online to discuss your case. I offer my legal services in English and Spanish.
